2nd Grade - Angel Wings, A Collaborative Project

Angel Wings
By 2nd Graders

In preparation for this project, the 2nd grade religion class tried to imagine what an angel looks like, or remember what one looks like if they’ve ever seen one. Then, they made their own drawing of an angel and the class discussed the similarities and differences among each others angels.
One similarity all of the angels had were of course, angel wings.

In art class, the 2nd grade learned about color value and how to paint a color gradient. Next, they learned how to draw the shape of a feather on their color value paintings, as well as a variety of patterns. They made additional painted patterned papers to use for this project. Lastly, the 2nd grade cut out their feathers and patterned papers then glued them as a class to create the shape of angel wings.

All of these 2nd graders are angels, aren’t they?!
